Description
Tributo 2020 pays homage to the unique aging and reblending process used in the making of Cuban rum. It is in Cuban tradition to set aside a small amount of each blend, and return it to the barrel for future Cuban rum production. This is also the case for Tributo, where some of the precious liquids from past editions have been set aside and re-aged. For the 2020 Tributo edition, Asbel Morales, our Cuban Master Rum Maker, decided to blend several of these Tributo barrels from storage, and add them to a rum from an exceptional batch of 100 barrels normally set aside for special occasions, and never released before. The result is a rum with staggering depth and complexity, dense, intense and rich, with light smoky notes from the 2018 Tributo edition, as well as notes of dark chocolate, coffee and spice in the final notes.
