are a rare blast from the past, a glorious ode to the cigars that captivated
our founder and inspired his business. In 1950, cigars were an entirely
different beast. Our founder, Mike Mersel, came to know tobacco from the
Cuban seed smokes available in Miami Beach. These are the exact kind of
classic, affectionately grown smokes Mike would fawn over. Built form an
incandescent crop of Nicaraguan tobacco, and rolled into a luscious
Connecticut shade wrapper to provide a smooth earthy taste, followed by an
abundant spice from its toasted core with subtle hints of oak. At five
inches, and a fifty-four ring gauge, this Robusto provides a nostalgic forty
minute smoke.
