Lucky Number 6, was Rocky’s big winner for Rocky Patel Number 6 cigars. It was the sixth cigar he smoked when selecting the best blend. Interestingly enough Rocky Patel Number 6 cigars are not like anything Rocky has done before, it has a lot of sweetness. A medium bodied cigar blended with fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua. The cigar is wrapped in a Honduran-grown Corojo wrapper that’s hand made at Rocky’s El Paraiso factory right in Honduras.
When creating a new blend for a cigar; blenders make numerous variations with little tweaks in them. They may remove a full leaf of Nicaraguan tobacco or add a half leaf of Dominican tobacco. Once all the different variations are created, they label the cigars with numbers, making this the only identifying thing for the cigar. Once the “test” cigars are blended and labeled.
