TASTING NOTES: This 2014 Edition Limitada from Habanos is a perfect fusion between Robusto and Double Corona, same size as the H.Upmann Magnum 50. First off, this is simply an amazing cigar. The tobacco is from the Vuelta Abajo region and has been carefully selected and aged over two years. With an oily maduro wrapper, this cigar looks the part. Delivering delicate aromas of leather during the first third, the power rises slightly in the second with more spiciness. The finale finds chocolate flavors, leather and roasted coffee coming through intensely.There have been some excellent EL’s in the past, but the Partagas Seleccion Privada stands above the rest as far as we are concerned.
